When a computer, VoIP phone, camera, or wireless access point stops working, I can help troubleshoot the specific issue and discuss the next step.
These proposed monthly plans provide an agreed allowance of scheduled support time. They’re designed to supplement your existing setup or IT provider, rather than place your entire IT environment under my management.
All levels are proposed to cover the same categories of break/fix work. Moving up a level increases the agreed labour allowance; it does not create an emergency response guarantee or transfer management of your systems.
WHAT THE PLAN IS FOR
A specific issue. A practical next step.
You do not need to know the cause before getting in touch. Describe what changed and what is not working, and I can discuss whether it fits the agreed support scope.
01
Describe the problem.
Share the affected equipment, symptoms, site location, and impact on your business. Requests are reviewed within the agreed support window.
02
Agree on the work and timing.
Remote help may be appropriate when access is authorized and practical. On-site work is scheduled subject to availability. I may be working at another site when you make contact.
03
Approve anything beyond the plan.
If additional labour, parts, provider involvement, or project work is needed, I’ll discuss the next step and obtain approval before proceeding beyond the agreed scope.
IMPORTANT DISTINCTIONS
A support allowance. Clear responsibilities.
Specific equipment troubleshooting
Proposed scope includes computers, VoIP phones, cameras, and wireless access points. The supported devices, access permissions, and tasks are agreed before the plan begins.
Scheduled availability
Support hours, appointment arrangements, and contact methods must be agreed. No plan currently promises 24/7 cover, immediate attendance, a fixed response time, or a guaranteed repair.
No ongoing IT management
Routine maintenance, continuous monitoring, managed cybersecurity, and responsibility for the wider IT environment are outside these plans.
No managed backups
Backup operation, monitoring, verification, and recovery are not included. A support plan does not replace the customer’s existing backup arrangements or provider.
Separate costs stay visible
Monthly labour allowances, billing increments, overage rates, travel, unused hours, and any out-of-hours work need written agreement. Hardware, subscriptions, and third-party charges are separate.
Installations remain projects
New cabling, full camera deployments, rack refreshes, migrations, and larger changes are separately scoped and quoted. A support plan is not a bundle of unlimited project work.
QUESTIONS BUSINESS OWNERS MAY HAVE
Before choosing a plan.
What if I use up the included time?
Additional work can be proposed at the agreed overage rate or quoted as a separate job. I’ll seek approval before doing work beyond the allowance. The rate and billing increments are still to be finalized.
Can I keep my existing IT company?
Yes. These plans are intended as supplemental support. Any involvement with their systems or changes they manage would need the appropriate authorization and coordination.
Does a monthly payment mean immediate help?
No. The proposed plans provide an agreed labour allowance during agreed support hours. Availability and scheduling still apply; I’m a solo operator and may already be at another job.
Is a fixed support allowance worth having?
The idea is to provide a familiar starting point for technical problems and an agreed amount of labour each month. If your equipment needs more time, the plan provides a process for discussing extra work rather than an unlimited promise.
Are these plans available to purchase now?
They’re being developed. I’ll review the equipment and requirements before agreeing any plan. Prices, included time, overage, support windows, travel, and plan terms remain to be finalized.
